For purposes deemed wise and good, we, the faculty of the West Valley-Mission Community College District herewith form the Association of College Educators (ACE) of the West Valley- Mission Community College District, an organization whose goal is to represent fairly and equally all faculty in the West Valley- Mission Community College District in matters pertaining to employment and professional relations, pursuant to California State Law and our own sense of professional responsibility.

Article 2 OBJECTIVES
The purpose of WVMFT, AFT 6554 shall be:
To secure full trade union rights, including the rights to exclusive recognition and collective bargaining, for all employees who are eligible for membership.
To advance the economic, social, and political well-being of the membership.
To obtain for members their rightful voice in shaping educational policy and
establishing the conditions under which they work.
To encourage communication, mutual understanding, cooperation, transparency and accountability to and among the membership.
To promote the interests of students and communities who are served by the membership.
To promote the advancement of community college education at the local, state and national level.
To promote the effectiveness and quality of the institutions in which our members work.
To promote democracy, equality, social justice and trade unionism in the society at large.
